Dental Implants
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root placed in a gap left by a missing tooth. After a few months the implant can be used as an anchor to attach a crown, bridge or denture to. In the case of a single missing tooth, they provide an alternative to a bridge, and in the case of multiple missing teeth may provide an alternative to a denture. They are also used to provide an alternative to wobbly dentures. The presence of an implant helps to keep a natural facial appearance as it maintains bone structure which is lost when teeth are missing.
